Once the ball dropped for the New Year (2020), John and I knew this would be OUR year. On February 27th, John proposed!! 2 days before our joint 30th birthday party (my birthday is February 10th, his is March 1st). Our joint 30th birthday was on leap day, February 29th. Months prior to the party I thought it would be so cool to have a party on leap day since the day only comes every 4 years! We had all positive vibes going into 2020, moreso than we usually do. Little did we know that Covid would be a thing- UGH!
We hosted our 30th birthday party at a hall in Lincoln Park, NJ. I decided to make it a themed party because I love dressing up! Since we are in the 20s again I went with a flapper theme 😉 trying to recreate the look of the 1920s. This was the first big party I ever hosted! Although I was very stressed out about it, I had a great time planning it. I loved how the ideas in my head turned to real life! I have to give a huge shoutout to my parents for helping me throughout the process!
