Hi Friends! Happy Monday! If you have been following along on Instagram you probably know that I had a deep tissue massage on Friday at Hand and Stone in Montclair NJ. I wanted to share my experience with you as it was such a great one!
First, since this is probably what is on everyone’s mind nowadays- THEY ARE SUPER CLEAN! They handle everything perfectly when it comes to Covid guidelines. Most of you know that I take Covid VERY seriously and that I try not to go many places. However, I felt SUPER SAFE here! Everything is 6 feet apart, there is plexiglass at the front, they take your temperature and masks MUST be worn at ALL times!
Everyone that knows me knows that I have major anxiety when it comes to parking situations. I don’t like parallel parking (probably have done it once in my life for the drivers test LOL) AND I despise street parking! Luckily I found a parking spot a block from Hand and Stone but of course the parking meter wasn’t working. Now, this isn’t the first time that this happened to me in Montclair, so it definitely has to be me LOL. Anyway the point of the story is Akilah, the receptionist/spa associate, at Hand and Stone told me about the parkmobile app and how to use it etc so I can pay for the parking spot! Super sweet of her to do that. Prior to that she called the precinct which was across the street to let them know the meter wasn’t working LOL they didn’t answer so that is why she told me about the app. Such a kind gesture, and to me that is major! Small things like that go a LONG way for me. Right off the bat I knew I was going to enjoy my service here.
My massage therapist was Ashley O. She was also very kindhearted! As soon as I got into the room she let me know that the room had been cleaned and went over all Covid guidelines. She also let me know that she will be washing her hands before and after the service (which she did). I had to wear my mask the whole time as well as Ashely. I felt very relaxed during my service!! I even told Ashley she is tiny but mighty! Never judge a book by it’s cover- ha! I felt a little sore from the massage the next day- which I heard usually happens – which basically means that the massage was perfect 🙂
Overall, I had a fantastic experience. I felt very safe and clean there! The staff was so welcoming and accommodating. I felt like royalty walking in! If you are in the North Jersey area, I definitely recommend Hand and Stone in Montclair, NJ. It is located right on Bloomfield Ave- you can’t miss it!
