A few years ago when I stayed in a hotel at a wedding, I will never forget the welcome bag the Bride & Groom made for their guests. Something so simple, yet so thoughtful. Fast forward to several years later, now it was my turn. I know a lot of people question whether or not to make welcome bags, but I truly think it is a nice gesture especially for guests traveling far.
You also do not need to spend an arm & leg on these! I went to the dollar store and bought white gift bags and only made 1 per room. You can also go to Costco and buy in bulk especially if you have a lot of guests staying overnight. I put the following in each:
2 water bottles
Advil to go
2 Protein bars
2 Granola bars
2 Bags of chips
2 Apples
Halloween Candy (our wedding was 2 weeks before Halloween)
Liquid IV (good for hangovers!)
