Weekends with Adele

Hi Friends!

Its been a while! I hope you all are having a great start to 2023! The last time I blogged was after my honeymoon. Been a crazy year+ but I am hoping to get back to one of my passions, blogging.

My husband and I ventured out to Las Vegas this past weekend to celebrate my birthday with Adele. My FIL bought us tickets to her show & arranged the whole trip- he is the BEST! This was my first time staying at Caesars Palace and I loved it! We didn’t go to Vegas for anything besides Adele so I only have recommendations for things to do in Caesars since we didn’t venture out of the hotel (we’ve been to Vegas numerous times before or else I would’ve ventured out 🙂 )

Adele’s Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace began in November and runs through end of March. The venue was absolutely beautiful and I am almost positive the 4,000+ seats were all filled.

“Weekends with Adele” week 12 will always hold a special place in my heart. The show started off with my favorite song of hers, Hello. One would think that because her songs are about break ups (and sad) that the show would be very slow. However, it was quite the opposite. Throughout the show Adele really got personal with the audience by apologizing for the delay with the show, telling us little things about herself, blasting a t-shirt gun into the audience and more! She was absolutely stunning, gracious, funny and thoughtful.

I cannot tell you which part I liked most about the show because everything was simply amazing. Point blank. I was very impressed with the massive screens surrounding the audience that illuminated with a close up of Adele. During “I Drink Wine,” there was a chandelier with wine bottles which moved back and forth! During “When we Were Young,” Adele walked through the audience asking some people in the crowd where they are from / what is their fondest childhood memory. This was very intimate! During the song, there was a backdrop of photos of Adele throughout her life. Adele literally set fire to the stage! During “Set Fire to the Rain” the piano goes up in flames & there is a backdrop of rainfall. It looked so cool! Lastly, I wasn’t expecting her exit to be as grand as it was. There was a burst of confetti and then she’s gone! Again, super impressive.

Other notable things to do in Caesars (besides gambling) and places to eat:

Forum Shops- so many shops from high to low end

Adele boutique- apparel, mugs, magnets etc for purchase. Also showcases some apparel Adele wore in her music videos/appearances.

Places to eat/drink:

Café Americano- we ate here for breakfast twice and dinner once. Such an underrated place!

My favorite was the mimosa tower. You can pick 3 different mimosas and they display it so nicely on this:

Numb: frozen drinks (with or without alcohol of your choice)

Picture below of flavors:

Pronto by Giada- went here for the frozen rose which was fantastic! (Pic below)

Bacchanal Buffet: very expensive so go if you are REALLY hungry. Great selection of food. I didn’t even get to the other side of the buffet because I wasn’t as hungry as I thought I would be. We went here the first day & I was feeling the jet lag so I didn’t eat much- I just wanted to sleep haha!

Gordan Ramsey Hell’s Kitchen- we ordered room service from here the last day for dinner. We were tired from the show the night before & shopping all day so we decided to stay in! Food was great.

Vanderpump Cocktail Garden- amazing ambiance, hand-crafted cocktails and small bites. We went here for lunch on our last day(pics below).

Again, Adele’s residency ends March 25th. If you have the time to go out there to see her, do so! I haven’t been to many shows/concerts but she was absolutely flawless & you will not be disappointed.

If you would like to see some videos I shared them on my IG account here.

I appreciate the love and support as always!

Xo,

Kristen
